BRYDEN AND ANDREW

These two holagins are part of the Junior NZ Kayak team. Bryden and Andrew will be competing in the C2 class and with their results to date they should do pretty well. This photo was taken just after the boys had decided to comp it out to see who could last the longest in stinging neetle. Not too sure who won!

ME PADDLING

MORE PICS OF SOLKAN

Here's some more pics of Solkan. Just beside the course brand new clubrooms have been built, especially for the Junior Worlds. 3 bars have also been built beside the river, all within 100 metres of each other so that's where we will be hanging out after the competition!! yehaaaaaaaaaa!!

Top of the course

SOLKAN

This is the river where the big JUNIOR WORLDS are being held. It is in Solvenia and is a natural course. It does have any major features but the water is quite deceptive and moves faster than you would think! The Junior Preworlds were held there last year and it rained constantly for many days before the race so the river flooded. being opimistic kiwis we thought the river would go down before we had to race on it. It didn't and the river was completely different!! Fingers crossed it says at race flow this year!!

15 DAYS TO GO

Only 15 days left in New Zealand till we depart for Europe! Exciting stuff!!!
